Cambodia secures $250 million through the Rapid Intervention for Stabilization of the Economy program. This capital injection safeguards essential public spending and supports over one million low-income households registered under the IDPoor scheme, including 350,000 families headed by women. Beyond social safety nets, the funding promotes agricultural stability and the adoption of clean energy technologies. This effort draws additional momentum from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the Japan International Cooperation Agency, pushing the total potential support for Cambodia to $688 million.
Sri Lanka receives a $200 million policy-based loan focused on industrial modernization. The program targets the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises, aiming to streamline trade systems and attract investment into economic zones. According to ADB President Masato Kanda, these interventions provide a necessary shield against immediate crises while fostering a framework for long-term private sector growth and regional market integration.
