A surge of aerial attacks across the border has left 12 people injured in Russia’s Belgorod region, where drone strikes ignited residential fires. The escalation, which also saw damage to an apartment complex in the logistics hub of Rostov-on-Don, marks another violent turn in the ongoing cross-border hostilities.

In Belgorod, regional authorities confirmed that the strikes targeted civilian infrastructure, wounding two children among the dozen casualties. The impact caused secondary fires that engulfed parked vehicles and residential units. Meanwhile, in Rostov-on-Don, Mayor Aleksandr Skryabin reported structural damage to a building following an air assault on the strategic port city.

Across the border, the human toll continued to rise as a Russian aerial bomb struck the Sumy region of Ukraine, leaving five people injured. Despite the mounting evidence of destruction in urban centers, both Moscow and Kyiv maintain their official stances, denying deliberate attempts to target civilian populations throughout the conflict.
