Russian-appointed governor Yevgeny Balitsky confirmed the casualties, while footage from the site depicts significant structural damage and debris scattered across the grounds. In response to the attack, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, publicly labeled the strike an inhuman crime. Russia’s Investigative Committee has subsequently launched a formal terrorism probe into the event.
Kyiv has remained silent regarding the strike, offering no official comment on the allegations. Both sides in the ongoing conflict have consistently denied targeting civilian populations since the start of the 2022 invasion, though the proximity of the camp to the front lines continues to place non-combatants in severe danger.
