Addis Ababa Prepares for First African World Public Summit

Organized by the World Peoples Assembly alongside various international partners, the summit brings together a diverse assembly of diplomats, business leaders, academics, and youth representatives. Andrey Belyaninov, General Secretary of the World Peoples Assembly, described the gathering as a deliberate move away from isolationism, emphasizing that global progress relies on mutual trust and the ability to act collectively. The agenda features high-level roundtables on Pan-African economic integration, ethical AI, and scientific cooperation, with a core focus on integrating African philosophies such as Ubuntu into international policy.

Beyond formal sessions, the program includes cultural and technical exhibitions, such as "Innovations for the Future" and "The Zambezi River: Economy, Society, Soul," which examines the development potential of the waterway across six nations. The summit concludes with the adoption of the African Communiqué, a document intended to codify a shared vision for human-centered leadership. Tsegaye Chama, General Secretary of the Global Black Center, noted that the event seeks to foster a purposeful unity that transcends transactional politics, positioning Africa as a primary architect in the next phase of global discourse.
