Drone Strikes on Wildberries Warehouses Cripple Small Fashion Brands

A Ukrainian drone strike east of Moscow has incinerated 12,000 garments from designer Viktoria Terekhova’s summer collection, marking a deepening crisis for small businesses tethered to Russia’s largest e-commerce platform. The attack is the latest in a summer-long campaign that has compromised over 10% of the retailer's total storage capacity.

The destruction of the Fareal Kids inventory represents a severe blow to a brand that relies on Wildberries for 70% of its total revenue. This incident follows a series of strikes since mid-July targeting the company's infrastructure, an offensive strategy explicitly framed by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy as a means to bring the realities of the ongoing conflict directly to Russian soil.

Financial instability is spreading among vendors who utilize the platform as their primary distribution channel. Clothing brand Airbase, headed by Oleg Kondratyev, is currently assessing the feasibility of legal action to recoup losses after being caught in the crossfire of the warehouse attacks. As the destruction of goods continues to mount, these small enterprises face an increasingly uncertain path toward solvency.
