Priyanka Gandhi Challenges Modi’s Silence on NEET-UG Scandal

As thousands of students protest the NEET-UG paper leak, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has castigated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his conspicuous absence from parliamentary debate. The Congress leader joined a chorus of opposition voices demanding accountability from the central government while dismissing online promises of justice as insufficient rhetoric.

Prime Minister Modi responded to the mounting pressure via social media, pledging to establish fast-track courts to expedite the prosecution of those responsible for examination irregularities. He declared that any individual undermining the future of India’s youth would face severe consequences. However, these digital assurances have failed to placate the opposition ranks.

Congress MP Sukhdeo Bhagat and Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav argue that the crisis demands direct legislative engagement rather than platform-based declarations. Yadav specifically pressed the administration on its accountability regarding student suicides connected to the leak and condemned Home Minister Amit Shah for the heavy-handed police response against demonstrators. The opposition continues to demand the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, maintaining that systemic reform cannot occur without addressing the current leadership failures.
