Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hailed the directive as a historic measure, arguing that specialized tribunals will restore credibility to an examination system currently plagued by organized malpractice. By streamlining the adjudication process, the government aims to shield students from the fallout of illicit information sharing and ensure that academic performance remains the sole determinant of success.

However, the initiative faces sharp political pushback. In Vijayawada, CPI(M) leader Chigurupati Babu Rao dismissed the move as a superficial effort, accusing the central government of failing to address the deeper grievances surrounding the NEET crisis. Rao specifically targeted Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, calling for his resignation and alleging that the administration prioritizes political optics over meaningful reform for aggrieved students.
