JKSSB Paper Leak Sparks Political Clash Between BJP and NC

A sharp confrontation has erupted between the BJP and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over the recent JKSSB paper leak scandal. As accusations of administrative negligence fly, the debate has spiraled into a broader national dispute over political accountability and the integrity of examination systems across state lines.

The tension ignited when BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari publicly accused Abdullah of dishonesty regarding the Junior Engineer (Electrical) examination, which the Power Development Department recently annulled. Bhandari linked the controversy to the National Conference’s alliance with Congress, questioning why similar incidents in Congress-led states do not face the same level of scrutiny from the opposition.

Abdullah countered these claims by challenging Union Health Minister JP Nadda directly. The Chief Minister pointed out that the leak occurred in 2022 during the Lieutenant Governor’s administration, rather than under the current NC-Congress government. He has since demanded the release of findings from the high-level committee tasked with investigating the breach. The dispute intensified further after Nadda accused Rahul Gandhi of selective outrage, arguing that the opposition uses student welfare issues merely as a tool for political leverage.
