BRS Accuses Telangana Government of Betraying Housing Promises

Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader Manne Krishank has leveled charges of deception against the Congress administration, claiming the party’s signature Indiramma housing initiative has morphed from a free welfare program into a financial burden. Families originally promised state-funded homes are now reportedly being asked to contribute 6 lakh rupees for construction.

Krishank argued that these financial demands fundamentally contradict the pledges made during the Assembly elections, effectively misleading the electorate. He asserted that the current policy shift tarnishes the legacy of Indira Gandhi and falls short of the specific commitments made to residents in the Secunderabad Cantonment area, where the party had campaigned on a platform of building 6,000 houses.

Public frustration is mounting across Telangana as voters grapple with unfulfilled welfare guarantees. Krishank warned that if the government fails to break ground on a single Indiramma unit before the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections, it will have lost any moral standing to solicit support from the public.
