Akhilesh Yadav Targets BJP Over NEET Irregularities

The NEET examination has devolved into a 'Cheat' test, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav declared on Tuesday, framing the recurring paper leaks as a structural failure of the BJP government. His critique, delivered during a volatile parliamentary session, centers on the intersection of academic integrity and the broader unemployment crisis.

Yadav pointed to mounting public frustration in Delhi, arguing that the BJP’s mismanagement of competitive exams has effectively betrayed the aspirations of middle-class students. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged to penalize those responsible for the NEET irregularities, Yadav dismissed these promises as insufficient. He insisted that true accountability lies with the electorate, suggesting that the party's failure to address systemic corruption will inevitably lead to its displacement at the ballot box.

Beyond the exam scandal, the SP leader challenged the government's narrative of economic growth, noting the glaring lack of stable employment opportunities for the nation's youth. He questioned why the administration remains reluctant to hold its own ministers accountable for these lapses, warning that the current political trajectory is unsustainable. According to Yadav, if the government refuses to accept responsibility or offer transparency, the public will resolve the deadlock by removing the party from power.
