Masoodi argued that the prolonged delay creates a climate of uncertainty that ultimately undermines national interests. Speaking to reporters, he characterized the lack of progress as a failure to act on pledges made before the highest levels of government, noting that more than a year has passed without a concrete legislative path forward.
Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary joined the call for accountability, pointing to a twenty-one-month gap since the 2024 election campaign began. He contended that the Prime Minister and Home Minister must be held to their specific commitments. The party has scheduled a broader mobilization for July 20 to consolidate cross-party support and force the administration to address the constitutional vacuum lingering in the region.
