Ukrainian Drone Offensive Targets Energy Infrastructure Across Russia

A surge of coordinated rocket and drone strikes has struck deep into Russian territory, hitting energy infrastructure and civilian areas across three distinct regions. The campaign, which represents a widening of the aerial conflict, resulted in multiple casualties and forced emergency responses in Yaroslavl, Saratov, and Bryansk.

Governor Mikhail Yevrayev confirmed that 19 drones were intercepted over the Yaroslavl region, where a key oil refinery has become a recurring target. Despite the defensive measures, the debris field caused one fatality and left four others wounded. Further south, the city of Engels in the Saratov region—a site often linked to long-range strategic assets—reported additional casualties following a separate drone incursion.

The violence reached the border zone as well, where a rocket strike decimated a village in the Bryansk region. Local authorities reported that two civilians were killed in the blast. By shifting the focus toward industrial nodes and regional population centers, the strikes signal a tactical expansion of Ukraine's ongoing efforts to disrupt logistics and domestic stability within Russia.
