Amid thinning U.S. stockpiles strained by conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, Donald Trump is demanding an immediate ramp-up in domestic weapons manufacturing. The President heads to the U.S. Army War College this Wednesday to press top defense executives on expanding production capacity for critical military hardware.

The roundtable, hosted by Senator Dave McCormick as part of a two-day Defense and Innovation Summit, brings together a coalition of military brass, defense contractors, and tech leaders in Pennsylvania. The primary objective is to harden the nation's industrial base, ensuring the rapid delivery of advanced systems to meet current global demands.

General Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has signaled that innovation must now move at the speed of necessity. To facilitate this, Pentagon acquisitions chief Michael Duffey is deploying long-term procurement contracts. These agreements aim to de-risk the massive capital investments required from private firms to expand facilities and boost production of high-priority assets, including Patriot missile systems.
