This participation aligns with the Election Commission of India’s Phase-III Special Intensive Revision, a massive administrative drive covering 16 states and three union territories. The commission is coordinating this rollout with the national census house-listing phase to streamline data collection across 36 crore eligible voters.
For Telangana and Punjab, the commission has established a firm timeline for completion. Booth Level Officers are scheduled to begin door-to-door verification on June 25, continuing through July 24. Following a rationalization period, officials will publish a draft roll on July 31. This provides stakeholders a month to submit claims or objections before the final electoral registry is locked in for the 2026 cycle.
