Sandeep Tiwari, Managing Director of the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam, confirmed that investigators are currently auditing past CCTV footage and reviewing the protocols used to transport offerings. The committee intends to conduct interviews with complainants and consult forensic and cyber specialists to trace potential digital tampering or procedural failures.

Beyond the initial committee, a Special Investigation Team has joined the operation to scrutinize the conduct of administrative officials. The scandal has quickly moved into the political arena, triggering a public confrontation between Uttarakhand Congress President Ganesh Godiyal and BKTC Chairman Hemant Dwivedi. The two leaders are exchanging accusations regarding oversight failures and alleged misconduct during previous administrative tenures.
