BRS working president KT Rama Rao has demanded an immediate apology from Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy following remarks that appeared to suggest violence against opposition leaders. Rao characterized the Chief Minister’s comments—which alluded to BRS figures serving as sacrificial offerings—as a dangerous escalation in a state already grappling with drought-stricken fields and severe water shortages.
Beyond the rhetorical clashes, the dispute highlights a fundamental breakdown in dialogue regarding the state's agricultural infrastructure. Rao accused the Congress administration of historical neglect, asserting that the party’s past policies have left farmers in despair. As the government defends its management of the Kaleshwaram project, the opposition is leveraging the tension to frame the current leadership as indifferent to the survival of the rural workforce.
