The Memorandum of Understanding, signed July 7, 2026, bridges Punjab’s Directorate of Industries & Commerce with the national logistics infrastructure. This integration allows the state to tap into a framework currently connecting 46 government systems via 142 APIs, offering real-time visibility into the movement of goods. For local MSMEs and exporters, the platform offers a path to bypass manual coordination hurdles by automating data exchange across departments ranging from Civil Aviation to Public Works.
Strategic Digital Integration
Beyond simple data sharing, the collaboration introduces specialized digital tools like the Logistics Data Bank and the Smart Coal Analytics Dashboard to the state's administrative toolkit. During the post-signing workshop, officials from the Transport, Warehousing, and Food and Civil Supplies departments explored how to leverage these platforms to refine asset tracking and supply chain planning. The initiative falls under the broader BHAVYA program, which seeks to establish 100 investment-ready industrial parks nationwide with a ₹33,660 crore outlay. By folding Punjab into this ecosystem, the government intends to sharpen its competitive edge, ensuring that regional industrial growth aligns with the national effort to modernize India’s manufacturing backbone.
