Israeli Strikes Claim Four Lives in Gaza as Violence Spikes

Four Palestinians were killed across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, marking a sharp escalation in hostilities. Israeli military operations hit multiple locations, including a tent encampment in western Gaza City and the Mawasi area of Khan Younis, as both sides trade accusations over sustained ceasefire violations.

The Israeli military confirmed its airstrikes targeted specific Hamas militants, though medical officials reported civilian casualties, including children injured in the Mawasi attack. Beyond the airstrikes, gunfire near Rafah added to the mounting death toll, leaving nine people wounded in that single incident.

Since the collapse of the October ceasefire, the conflict has claimed the lives of over 1,070 Palestinians and four Israeli soldiers. The violence continues to destabilize the region, where more than 2 million people remain displaced, struggling to find safety amidst the persistent shelling and ground engagements.
