Ram Temple Trust Clears Champat Rai of Misconduct Allegations

After weeks of public scrutiny, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has officially cleared former General Secretary Champat Rai of any wrongdoing regarding temple donations. Despite this exoneration, trustees confirmed his resignation following an SIT investigation into the management of gold and silver offerings at the Ayodhya site.

Ram Temple Trust Clears Champat Rai of Misconduct Allegations

The board of trustees met this Monday to address the persistent rumors surrounding the integrity of the temple’s financial assets. During the proceedings, members dismissed accusations against Rai as entirely baseless, affirming that all precious metal donations remain secure and fully accounted for. Mahant Dinendra Das noted that while the trustees initially supported retaining Rai, they ultimately chose to respect his decision to step down following legal counsel.

To fill the vacancy, the Trust has appointed Keshav Mohan to oversee operations and maintain oversight. Swami Govind Dev Giri Ji Maharaj characterized the transition as a necessary step to stabilize the organization as it navigates the aftermath of the SIT probe. The leadership transition aims to restore public confidence in the stewardship of the temple, ensuring that administrative processes remain transparent as the oversight committee shifts its focus toward future project milestones.
