Ram Temple Trust Reorganizes Amid Embezzlement Inquiry

As the probe gains momentum, the organization has accepted the resignations of two prominent trustees to maintain the integrity of its financial oversight.

VHP spokesperson Surendra Jain confirmed that trustees Champat Rai and Anil Mishra have stepped down, citing ethical grounds to distance themselves from the ongoing review. Krishna Mohan has been tapped to serve as interim General Secretary, while the Trust has formally removed Gopal Nagarkote from his position as a special invitee member.

Jain maintains that the board remains unified in its support for the inquiry. To address mounting public anxiety, the Trust has invited donors to visit Ayodhya to personally verify their contributions. Officials are actively discouraging reliance on unverified rumors, instead requesting that anyone possessing tangible evidence regarding the financial irregularities come forward to assist the investigative team.
