Thakur recently met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to review the state’s political landscape and the ongoing recovery efforts following a devastating monsoon season. While characterizing the discussions as routine, he used the platform to sharpen his critique of the current government’s fiscal oversight. He specifically alleged that funds earmarked for critical development projects were being diverted to cover unrelated administrative costs.
Contrasting the state’s internal struggles with federal backing, Thakur pointed to a recent financial assistance package approved by the central government as evidence of the BJP’s commitment to the region. He maintained that the party’s organizational momentum continues to build, positioning itself as the primary alternative to what he describes as an ineffective provincial regime.
