Modi Launches Rajasthan Refinery to Bolster Energy Independence

Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the Greenfield Integrated Refinery-cum-Petrochemical Complex in Pachpadra this Saturday, marking a strategic push to strengthen India’s domestic energy capacity. The project, located in the Balotra district, serves as a cornerstone for the region's industrial growth and long-term economic self-reliance.

Beyond the refinery, Modi inaugurated a new airport terminal in Jodhpur, featuring architecture inspired by local Rajasthani aesthetics. The Prime Minister framed these infrastructure projects as catalysts for regional tourism and trade, emphasizing that the government remains focused on finishing construction rather than merely laying foundation stones.

Addressing the crowd, Modi acknowledged the recent accident at the refinery site and praised the workforce for maintaining progress despite the setback. He also linked the necessity of domestic energy projects to the broader global instability caused by conflicts in West Asia, claiming that India has successfully navigated these volatile market conditions through strategic diplomacy.
