BJP Leader Warns of Impending Arrests in Ram Mandir Fund Probe

Senior BJP figure Vinay Katiyar has signaled that high-ranking officials within the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust may soon face imprisonment. The allegations concern the misappropriation of funds, with Katiyar naming former General Secretary Champat Rai and other prominent trustees as central figures in the ongoing investigation.

Katiyar, a co-founder of the Bajrang Dal, confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has received a direct briefing on the matter. While Katiyar expressed confidence in a resolution, the legal pressure continues to mount as the Special Investigation Team secured a 15-day extension to widen its probe. This inquiry stems from an FIR filed on June 25, which triggered intense public scrutiny of the temple’s financial management.

On the ground in Ayodhya, local authorities are escalating their efforts. Police are currently interrogating Avinash Shukla, a man identified by investigators as a key link in the unfolding case. Circle Officer Ashutosh Tiwari is overseeing the questioning, as the SIT attempts to determine the extent of the alleged irregularities involving former Trustee Anil Mishra and administrator Gopal Rao. The probe remains focused on preserving the trust’s integrity as the legal process moves toward potential criminal charges.
