Uttar Pradesh Expands Ayodhya Temple Embezzlement Inquiry

With the Special Investigation Team granted a 15-day extension to broaden its inquiry, the Uttar Pradesh government is sharpening its focus on the alleged misappropriation of funds destined for the Ayodhya Ram Temple. The move follows intensifying scrutiny of key suspects, including Avinash Shukla, under direct supervision from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Bihar BJP President Sanjay Saraogi confirmed that the investigation remains a priority, vowing that no individuals implicated in the scandal will evade accountability. He framed the temple as a pivotal spiritual landmark for the global Sanatan Dharma community, dismissing criticisms from political rivals like the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party as opportunistic maneuvering.

Authorities have already conducted several arrests as the probe moves into a more comprehensive phase. Investigators are currently questioning Avinash Shukla in Ayodhya, aiming to trace the flow of donations and identify all parties involved in the suspected embezzlement. Chief Minister Adityanath continues to monitor the SIT’s progress, ensuring the integrity of the project remains the administration's primary objective.
