De La Espriella holds slim lead in early Colombian presidential count
With roughly one-third of the ballots processed, right-wing attorney Abelardo De La Espriella has secured 50.4% of the vote in Colombia’s presidential election. The early returns place him narrowly ahead of leftist senator Ivan Cepeda, who currently trails with 47.9% support according to the national registry office.
