Amidst the 12th International Day of Yoga, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini framed the ancient practice as a reflection of India's eternal consciousness. Saini noted that the global expansion of Yoga Day stems from a collective awareness, describing the event as a movement that transcends national borders. He credited the international momentum to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose participation in Kolkata served as a cornerstone for the day's global outreach.

The celebrations extended well beyond Haryana. In Guwahati, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma joined practitioners to mark the occasion. This year, the national observance centers on the theme 'Yoga For Healthy Ageing.' Meanwhile, in Mumbai, Union Minister Piyush Goyal participated in similar sessions, reinforcing the government's emphasis on integrating physical and mental well-being into daily life.
