Zelenskiy’s latest address targeted the industrial and technical support Belarus provides to Moscow’s ongoing offensive. While avoiding a direct confrontation with Alexander Lukashenko, the Ukrainian leader noted that his military has mapped every factory in Belarus currently contributing to the Kremlin’s war machine. He emphasized that these facilities undermine international attempts to pressure the Russian economy.
Beyond military hardware, the Ukrainian administration is tracking a surge in fuel exports. Between January and May, Belarusian gasoline supplies to Russia jumped thirteenfold, while diesel shipments tripled compared to the previous year. Zelenskiy argued that this influx of refined oil helps Moscow circumvent sanctions and sustain its combat capabilities. This rhetoric aligns with Ukraine’s broader campaign of long-range drone strikes aimed at crippling the Russian oil refining sector and disrupting the logistical chains that fuel the conflict.
