The actor praised the recent surge in yoga participation, describing the momentum as unprecedented. During a conversation with ANI, Singh lauded the Prime Minister's efforts to promote the practice, while also expressing support for his broader political agenda, including development initiatives and anti-corruption measures. He characterized the current administration’s 12-year trajectory as a period of significant growth for the nation.

This year’s observance, themed "Yoga for Healthy Ageing," focuses on emotional resilience and physical vitality in an era of rising life expectancy. Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to lead the national event at Red Road in Kolkata, where he will join thousands of practitioners in the Common Yoga Protocol. Since the United Nations General Assembly established the day in 2015, the Prime Minister has hosted celebrations in diverse locations ranging from New York to Srinagar, consistently framing the practice as a cornerstone of India’s cultural heritage.
