The political atmosphere in Maharashtra remains tense as whispers of "Operation Tiger" gain traction. This term, currently circulating in local circles, suggests that several lawmakers from Uddhav Thackeray’s faction are quietly realigning with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s camp. Adding fuel to the fire, party leader Sanjay Jadhav recently circulated a social media graphic promoting a unified "Akhand Shiv Sena" without referencing either factional leader, sparking further debate over the party's internal cohesion.
These anxieties follow a bold claim by MLC Chandrakant Raghuvanshi, who alleged that six MPs from the UBT faction have already pledged their support to Shinde. While no official confirmation has emerged from the individuals named, the rivalry remains visible across Mumbai. From Bandra to the Matoshree area, competing banners and posters continue to define the landscape of a party fractured since the 2022 split. That schism, which saw the Election Commission grant the official name and symbol to the Shinde faction, continues to dictate the volatile dynamics of state politics.
