Assembly Secretary and Returning Officer Zothansanga Ralte confirmed that ZPM legislator W Chhuanawma was absent from the proceedings due to health concerns.

This result reinforces the current legislative landscape in the 40-member Mizoram Assembly, where the ZPM controls 27 seats. The Mizo National Front remains the primary opposition with 10 seats, while the BJP and Congress hold two and one seats respectively.
