US and Iran Sign 14-Point Memorandum to End Military Hostilities

The United States and Iran have formally entered a memorandum of understanding to cease all military operations across the Middle East, including Lebanon. Mediated by Pakistan, the agreement mandates an immediate end to hostilities, the removal of naval blockades, and a commitment to negotiate a permanent peace deal within 60 days.

The memorandum outlines a phased de-escalation, requiring the United States to lift its naval blockade within 30 days and withdraw forces from Iranian proximity following a final settlement. In exchange, Tehran has committed to guaranteeing safe passage for commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz and pledged to halt the development of nuclear weapons. Iran will begin downblending enriched material on-site under International Atomic Energy Agency supervision.

Economic relief serves as a cornerstone of the agreement, with the United States pledging to coordinate a 300 billion dollar reconstruction fund for Iran. Washington also agreed to issue immediate waivers for Iranian oil exports and to release frozen assets held in foreign accounts. Both nations have agreed to maintain a strict status quo regarding their nuclear programs and military deployments until the final, binding deal is ratified by the UN Security Council.
