Adityanath pointed to the sheer scale of recent state hiring, noting that 28 lakh candidates recently vied for 35,000 police positions. He emphasized that the state has successfully recruited 2.25 lakh police personnel over the last nine years, contrasting this current stability with the frequent riots and prolonged curfews that characterized the region before 2017. According to the Chief Minister, the state police have transitioned from a force once perceived as unsafe to a national model of moral policing.
Beyond public safety, the administration is shifting focus toward logistical support for students and upcoming civic events. Adityanath announced a 50 per cent bus fare concession for NEET-UG 2026 re-examination candidates traveling to their centers on June 21. Simultaneously, the state is gearing up for International Yoga Day, with events planned across 57,000 Gram Panchayats and 762 urban local bodies. Preparations are also underway for Muharram on June 26, with the Chief Minister calling for discipline and solemnity during the observances.
