The financing, authorized under the Foreign Military Financing program, pushes Poland's total arms procurement capacity toward the $20 billion mark. Thomas DiNanno, the U.S. Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security, confirmed the loan as a cornerstone of the deepening security partnership between Washington and Warsaw.
These advanced aircraft, part of a $4.6 billion acquisition deal finalized in 2020, integrate stealth technology and sophisticated sensor suites previously unavailable to the Polish Air Force. Deliveries are scheduled to continue through 2029, providing a long-term upgrade to national defense infrastructure. Polish officials view the integration of these jets as a critical shift in regional military readiness, ensuring the country remains at the forefront of NATO’s collective security strategy.
