Cédric Coignard and Laurent Pallanca, formerly of bvo capital, transition to roles as partners at J. Stern & Co. Coignard will also join the investment committee, operating out of the new Geneva hub. The firm, currently overseeing 2.5 billion euros in assets, intends to maintain its core philosophy of long-term investments in global quality stocks.
Jérôme Stern, managing partner and CEO, noted that the firm continues to align its own capital directly with client holdings. While financial terms of the transaction remain private, the integration aims to bolster research and client service capabilities. Bvo capital, established in 2021, brings experience in managing concentrated equity portfolios, including the FiftySix Equity Fund, to the expanded organization. Roughly 20 percent of the combined assets remain tied to the personal holdings of the Stern family and the company’s partners.
