Lombard Odier recruits UBS veteran to lead UHNWI expansion

Christina Stäger Ernst will join Lombard Odier on January 1, 2027, to spearhead the bank’s ultra-high-net-worth and single-family office operations in German-speaking Switzerland. Based in Zurich, the former UBS managing director will report directly to partner Serge Fehr as the firm intensifies its focus on the country’s wealthiest entrepreneurs.

Stäger Ernst brings over 25 years of experience to the Geneva-based private bank. During her recent tenure at UBS, she served as managing director and desk head for the central Swiss UHNW division. Her background includes 14 years as a senior relationship manager within the bank’s global family office unit, alongside earlier consultancy work at McKinsey, where she specialized in structuring investment processes and strategic advising for family offices.

Lombard Odier currently manages 367 billion Swiss francs in client assets. By integrating Stäger Ernst, the firm intends to bolster its specialized services, which combine traditional asset management with complex succession planning and family governance. The move marks a deliberate effort to capture a larger share of the Swiss market by catering to families with intricate wealth structures.
