Addressing the NDTV World Summit, Elahi detailed the February 28 attack, which struck the school twice and killed 123 children. The diplomat described the ongoing trauma of families who have no remains to bury, a grief that intensified as the new academic year began this October. Classrooms intended for students now stand empty, filled only with unused notebooks and supplies.
Elahi criticized the international response, pointing out that despite the scale of the tragedy, Washington has refused to acknowledge the operation as a mistake or express regret. A committee appointed by the United Nations has been tasked with investigating the circumstances of the bombing, yet the path to justice remains obstructed by the silence of the American administration.
