The platform emerged from a 36-hour hackathon during the September 2025 Swiss AI Weeks in St. Gallen, where Fuchs and Kantor first demonstrated a prototype for identifying market-relevant news. Since then, the software has transitioned into a commercial product currently undergoing a year-long stress test within Wellershoff & Partners. Beyond its pilot phase, Turiq is designed to assist CIO offices by synthesizing external market intelligence with internal portfolio metrics to accelerate decision-making.
Turiq operates on an open architecture, allowing financial firms to retain full technical control over information sources and classification criteria. To address industry privacy concerns, the startup confirmed that client data is strictly excluded from AI training sets. Fuchs leads the company as CEO, while Kantor oversees the technical infrastructure as CTO. The goal, according to Wellershoff, is to establish an operating system for the investment sector that allows firms to scale advisory quality without sacrificing the human oversight of their investment specialists.
