Bommai anchored his rebuttal in national performance metrics, specifically citing a 7.8% economic growth rate. He characterized this figure as a stark contrast to global instability, positioning India to become the world’s third-largest economy. In his view, these indicators serve as evidence of the Prime Minister's successful long-term planning.

He leveled allegations of misconduct against the Karnataka Public Service Commission and the state police department. Bommai demanded an immediate CBI investigation into the matter, warning that the BJP would organize widespread protests if the state government fails to launch a formal inquiry.
