The latest wave of fighting, concentrated in Taiz, Hudaydah, and Marib, has turned transit routes into dangerous zones. Edouard Beigbeder, UNICEF’s regional director, noted that this escalation destroys the remaining fragments of stability for children who were already facing acute hunger and systemic service failures.
