The programme utilizes the InvestEU framework to provide guarantees that mitigate risk for participating financial institutions, including BGK, ING Bank Śląski, POLFUND, and UniCredit. Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz noted that the national contribution of approximately PLN 1.5 billion is structured to catalyze nearly PLN 7 billion in total lending capacity.
For companies, the primary benefit lies in accessing flexible financing designed to support innovation and sustainable growth. EIF Chief Executive Marjut Falkstedt emphasized that this model maximizes the impact of public resources by blending them with private market expertise. Participating lenders, such as UniCredit and POLFUND, intend to use these guarantees to assist firms that often struggle to meet standard collateral requirements, effectively opening a vital pipeline for ambitious investment plans starting this autumn.
