In the capital, Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that 12 residents were injured as shrapnel from intercepted projectiles rained down on apartment complexes and warehouses. The proximity of the debris to a local petrol station sparked immediate fears of secondary explosions, though municipal teams managed to secure the area.
Further south, the port city of Odesa endured a direct hit on a 19-storey residential building, resulting in injuries that included a child. The violence extended to Zaporizhzhia, where an industrial facility became the target of a missile strike. The ensuing fire required a significant deployment of emergency personnel to contain the blaze and treat the three individuals wounded in that sector.
