With 120 of 150 wards tallied, the Bharatiya Janata Party has secured a firm lead in the Jaipur Municipal Corporation elections, capturing 63 seats against the Congress party’s 44. As the final ballots are counted, the political atmosphere has soured, marked by formal protests over alleged procedural discrepancies.

The Congress party has officially challenged the integrity of the ongoing count, prompting a delegation to meet with the Jaipur District Collector to demand a thorough verification of the results. Rajasthan Congress Legislative Party Chief Whip Rafeek Khan voiced deep skepticism, dismissing the current trends circulating on social media as inconsistent with the party’s internal projections.

Conversely, the BJP has framed its performance as a clear mandate for its governance model. Rajasthan Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra attributed the party's success to its focus on development, thanking the electorate for their support. While independents and minor parties have secured 13 wards, the final outcome for the remaining 30 seats will determine the definitive balance of power in the municipal body.
