Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra led the demonstration, describing the government’s refusal to dismiss Nagendra as evidence of systemic corruption. He accused the ruling Congress of shielding the minister despite internal admissions that a scam occurred within the Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation. Vijayendra declared that the administration's "cup of sins is overflowing," claiming the state is being looted while officials maintain a facade of development.

Leader of the Opposition R Ashoka confirmed the party will maintain its pressure, vowing that the BJP and its JD(S) allies will continue to disrupt legislative proceedings until the minister steps down. The agitation comes as the CBI has formally requested sanction from Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot to prosecute Nagendra. With the legislature session ongoing, the opposition remains firm on its demand for accountability, setting the stage for further confrontation on the floor of the Assembly.
