Trivedi specifically questioned Kejriwal’s mechanical engineering degree, contrasting his technical education with his lack of research regarding the E20 fuel initiative. Defending the policy, Trivedi noted that blending 20% ethanol with 80% petrol is an established global standard designed to curb carbon emissions and lower reliance on oil imports. He mocked the opposition’s narrative, pointing out the chronological impossibility of claims suggesting the fuel had damaged vehicles for four years when the initiative has barely been in place for four months.

Kejriwal’s demonstration centered on allegations that the policy stems from external pressure, specifically urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to resist influence from US President Donald Trump. Beyond the environmental debate, Kejriwal demanded an immediate halt to ethanol imports from the United States, framing the government’s implementation as a forced imposition on the public.
