While the event is not state-sponsored, the Bangladeshi government maintains that India should prevent individuals facing criminal charges from utilizing its territory as a platform for political commentary. Despite the ongoing push for her extradition, Hasina has publicly expressed intentions to return to Bangladesh this December, further complicating the diplomatic landscape following her 2024 departure.
