Russian missile strike damages Lithuanian embassy in Kyiv

Two Russian missiles struck within meters of the Lithuanian embassy in Kyiv on Saturday, shattering windows and leaving debris scattered across the diplomatic compound. While the building sustained structural damage, including broken solar collectors, officials confirmed that no staff members or personnel were injured during the bombardment.

The impact points were alarmingly close: one projectile landed just 10 meters from the embassy grounds, while a second struck 150 meters away. Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys announced that the government is summoning Russia’s diplomatic representative to lodge a formal protest.

Budrys emphasized that diplomatic gestures alone remain insufficient to curb the ongoing aggression. He called for intensified international sanctions and sustained military support for Ukraine to force a shift in Moscow's position at the negotiating table.
