Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh used the inauguration ceremony on Friday to deliver a sharp rebuke to the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party and its leader, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Lokesh argued that the project serves as a definitive response to those who previously belittled North Andhra’s potential and questioned the necessity of high-end infrastructure in the region.
Beyond the local development, Lokesh leveraged the platform to praise Prime Minister Narendra Modi, framing his leadership as the primary engine behind India’s progress. He described the Prime Minister as a figure who embodies national security, public trust, and a commitment to the welfare of the poor. By positioning the airport as a milestone for the state, the minister suggested that the facility marks the end of an era where the region was underestimated by its political rivals.
