Satyanarayana detailed a recent encounter where police intercepted his convoy near Ampolu, despite his cabinet-rank status and adherence to standard travel protocols. He rejected media reports suggesting he threatened officers during the standoff, characterizing the incident as a deliberate provocation. According to the MLC, the government is systematically bypassing legal norms to intimidate YSRCP members, a situation he intends to escalate through a formal complaint to the Governor.
Beyond the allegations of police misconduct, Satyanarayana challenged Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s narrative regarding the Bhogapuram airport project. He asserted that the project’s progress was primarily driven by the previous YS Jagan Mohan Reddy administration, which secured necessary clearances and finalized land acquisition after earlier attempts under Naidu’s previous tenure stalled. Satyanarayana dismissed the Chief Minister’s recent claims of credit as politically motivated, promising further disclosures regarding the project's development history in the coming days.
