Opposition Challenges Madhya Pradesh Budget Over Jobless Youth and OBC Rights

Singhar specifically highlighted the absence of provisions for moong procurement and concrete strategies to address the state's growing unemployment crisis. He alleged that the current financial roadmap favors large-scale companies based in Gujarat, leaving local workers and farmers to navigate a shrinking job market without state support. These objections gained momentum following recent demonstrations by the OBC Mahasabha, which is pushing for the immediate implementation of a 27% reservation quota for Other Backward Classes.

The Congress leader further denounced the ruling BJP’s legislative focus, accusing the administration of fast-tracking the Uniform Civil Code while intentionally sidelining the concerns of backward classes. Singhar confirmed he intends to keep these issues at the center of the legislative agenda, vowing that the opposition will continue to challenge the government’s priorities when the state assembly reconvenes.
