President Emmanuel Macron confirmed that Ukraine will integrate Franco-Italian air defense systems and a fleet of 16 Rafale fighter jets into its national security architecture. These advanced platforms are scheduled to begin active operations in Ukrainian airspace within the 2028 to 2029 timeframe, marking a significant shift in long-term military support.

Beyond the delivery of hardware, Paris is authorizing the expanded domestic production of critical military assets, specifically the Scalp cruise missile. During a joint briefing with President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, Macron outlined a broader strategic framework involving allied nations. This initiative includes organizing specialized military exercises in countries bordering Ukraine, designed to prepare a multinational force for potential deployment once a ceasefire with Russia is established.
